Wearable Device – BLE Fitness Tracker Core Goal: Build firmware for a BLE-based wearable that measures motion and sends periodic activity data. Constraints: Must support BLE Low Energy advertising + connection. Must operate in low-power mode, waking every 100 ms. Provide steps-per-interval count using a simple threshold-based algorithm. Firmware Requirements: Read motion data from accelerometer at 50–100 Hz. Compute step count using peak detection or threshold crossing. Send data packet over BLE every second: Steps Battery estimate Motion intensity Implement deep-sleep between sampling windows. Suggested Hardware: nRF52832, nRF52840, ESP32-C3.
